****CURRENT PRODUCTION STATUS****
A preliminary shoot has been completed, featuring almost 30 hours of Footage including Interviews with Rosamond Carr, the Imbabazzi orphanage, Wildlife including the Mountain Gorillas on the Virunga Volcanos made famous by Dian Fossey, many Genocide sites and scenes of everyday Rwandan life.
A further 10 days filming in Rwanda is required, which will include further interviews with Rosamond Carr and those close to her, filming of Wildlife including the Mountain Gorrilas, additional footage of Rwanda and it’s people. Filming will also take place at the recently completed National Genocide Museum, Kigali.
Archive footage, including an excerpt from the 1922 short film “On African game Trails” covering Prince William of Sweden on Safari in Rwanda, photographed by Rosamond’s husband, Kenneth and footage from the 1994 genocide, is also intended to be included in the documentary.
The Documentary will also include many archive photographs covering Rosamond’s early life in New York, her early days with Kenneth in Africa and also photographs of Dian Fossey taken by Bob Campbell (National Geographic).
All Post-Production will take place in London, England.
